Peyton at school

I am lucky enough to be able to see Peyton during the day while I am working and she is playing outside. I had my camera there recently to take pictures of the children in my room and I captured these cute ones of Peyton playing outside and drawing with sidewalk chalk. She seemed to not only enjoy the drawing with chalk, but also was good at it. So good, in fact, that she managed to sit and crawl around in the pictures and get more chalk on her pants than she left on the sidewalk.

Her pants used to be light grayish-blue.

Peyton is over at the fence while her entire class is around the picnic table. What a rebel...

She was making her way over to them...

Just a little too late, I guess.

I hope one day she plays willingly with them- I think she is kind of a loner. But at least she doesn't get in trouble with the others either!

Welcome Springtime!

I am so ready for the spring weather to get here and STAY here. Peyton enjoys being outside so much and I can wait to be able to play with her in the evenings outside. She has a turtle sandbox on our patio (we still need to get the sand) so right now I guess it is just an empty turtle. Either way, we had a great weekend in Hartsville. We went to a well organized Easter egg hunt on SAturday morning. Peyton was grumpy when we first arrived because she had been in the car for 2 hours and for some unknown reason had developed hives all over, but she really perked up once she saw the eggs on the ground. Once we got started, she was really into it and moving all over the yard finding as many as she could. She ended up with 18 eggs, which all contained "bunny money." There was $1 bunny dollar in each egg which you could then turn in for prizes. Peyton ended up with sidewalk chalk, hand clappers, candy, a bunny, and who knows what else. It was really fun and here are some pictures to prove it!

She found so many eggs she needed two baskets (and sunglasses)

Jamie and Peyton looking at the paper inside their eggs.

Peyton still looking for more eggs- I think she loved it!

Peyton and all of her Easter goodies.

Well for some reason my blog won't allow me to post more photos right now, so I guess I will try again later. Check out my facebook for more.

Reflections

A few reflections for the week...
1. I know how to pick em when it comes to DWTS contestants. I had a feeling David Allen Grier would go home and he did. I hope Gilles and Cheryl win it. I have made my pick. They make me want to dance everytime they do.
2. As spoiled as I am and as much as I like shopping and new things, I have come to realize that I definitely enjoying giving a whole lot more. I can't wait for Peyton, Ethan, and Briannah to receive their Easter baskets and have their Easter egg hunts and the look on their faces when they find their first egg. And I can't wait for Mother's Day because I am making the mothers of my babies at work a little gift.
3. I enjoy getting a good deal and "couponing," but I have taken a week or so off from finding all the deals I used to (partly because I have very limited cabinet space remaining to stock up on things) and partly because I needed a break. It feels better not to be worried about the sales and when they change and when I can go to the store. (But I am hoping I am not missing anything I really do need.)
4. Peyton does beautiful artwork at school. I plan to save every piece.
5. My mom is a very giving person. I hope I am just like her.

Our weekend- home and away

Our weekend was long but we got a lot accomplished. I went back to our house in Georgia with my mom and checked on our house and got some of our summer items for the warm weather and the beach. We came back Saturday afternoon because I couldn't wait to see Peyton and Jamie. Then on Sunday, Jamie, Peyton and I went back to a local park (that is like a maze to get to) that he and Peyton had gone to on Saturday during their Daddy/daughter day. It is a really nice park with swings, and 3 playground sets and other smaller bouncing play things like a ladybug, a whale, a fish, and a rhino to crawl through. Here are some pictures we took of Peyton having a great time.

She liked the swings

And the slide...

I hope we have another beautiful weekend coming up in Hartsville. We are going to an Easter egg hunt on Saturday and having one on Sunday. I feel like Peyton will definitely know how to search for eggs by the end of the weekend. And don't worry- she has two beautiful Easter dresses that I will be posting lots of pictures of next week!
